Stunning Art Deco 1930s Oak Bergere Armchair SOLD
This is a lovely early 20th Century Art Deco oak Bergere armchair.
A rather pretty Bergere armchair of neat proportions. Surviving from around the early 1930s. The slender frame with its gently curved arms, stepped front legs and arched crest rail gives it a real touch of Art Deco charm. On raised tapered legs with lovely swept arms. The sweeping seat back with Bergere cane work to the back and sides and elegant curved arms.
Freshly upholstered.
Condition wise it is very good – lightly lived in with the all-important cane work in excellent order, firm with no holes or breaks and the frame is firm. No wobbles or repairs just showing historic wear and tear.
