A lovely and wonderfully sculptural 1950s Dutch-style rattan lounge chair, in the manner of the designs produced by renowned Dutch manufacturer Rohé Noordwolde.
The chair features a beautifully curved natural rattan/cane seat with an open, airy construction that gives it a wonderfully light and organic feel. The sweeping form is both comfortable and visually striking, while the black lacquered tubular metal frame provides a pleasing contrast to the warm natural rattan.
The original white feet add a particularly charming and slightly quirky detail.
A versatile occasional chair that would work beautifully in a living room, bedroom, reading corner or conservatory. Its relaxed form and natural materials make it equally at home in a mid-century, Scandinavian or contemporary interior.
In good vintage condition, with minor signs of age and previous use.
The metal frame is in good condition with no significant pitting or rust. The rattan is remarkably well preserved for its age and remains intact throughout the majority of the chair, with one broken cane. Please see photographs for a full representation of the condition. Second picture is AI
