This British made vintage industrial Tan-Sad swivel chair, was labelled as the “True Posture Chair”, was likely made in the 1950’s. A classic mid century British factory workers stool manufactured by Tan-Sad.
Made of tubular metal, the seat revolves through 360 degrees, and the back rest adjusts in height. The sturdy base incorporates a circular foot rest for further comfort of use. The chair swivels and is also height adjustable, locking in position with the original Tan-Sad dial.
It is in very good condition, the original brown / green finish showing typical wear for the age. The seat and back is upholstered with hard wearing rexine. The chair came from a factory in South Wales and with the exception of a light wax, is in totally unrestored condition, displaying beautiful signs of patina from age and use.
Vintage condition from a previous life of constant use, structurally sound, some dents, marks and scrapes to the framework as to be expected. Some surface rust to the base but the frame is sound and solid. Seat and backrest are in good sound condition (see photos). Has it’s original seat and back rest which rises up and down by spinning around.
Would look amazing in any environment, home or retail.
As with all our products, this piece is an original vintage item so there are signs of wear from use. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions.
