We have a fully refreshed 1960s Guy Rogers ‘Manhattan’ Suite; a daybed and two reclining armchairs and footstool. Solid afromosia framed suite designed by the ‘dream team’ Fejer & Phamphion.

Both of the chairs have a solid teak afromosia frame with a high backrest, shaped arms and stand on turned tapering legs with 3 seating positions that are set from under the seat cushion.

The occasional day bed / sofa also has a solid afromosia frame, the same shaped arms and tapering legs. The bed mechanism works as it should. The matching footstool also doubles as storage with a lift up top which can also be adjusted to a comfortable resting height for your feet!

The ‘Manhattan’ range was produced by Guy Rogers in the 1960s and retailed most notably through Heals of London. Guy Rogers were probably the largest and best-known makers of contemporary upholstered furniture in the 1960s. It has that perfect blend of midcentury retro chic which marries so well with modern contemporary design and adds a touch of understated British elegance to any interior.

The frames of all of the furniture are in fantastic condition; all the joints are tight and the webbing is strong. All of the fabric has been replaced with Abbotsford Textile Mink and Caramel textured Wool and Mohair boucle. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions.
