A beautifully designed sideboard by celebrated British furniture designer Robert Heritage, who is the most awarded designer in the history of the British Design Council. This rare early model is constructed from a combination of teak and afromosia, with three thick dovetailed oak lined drawers.
Exceptional quality with grained timbers this stunning piece of mid century design can be admired from all angles. The double door cupboards with internal shelves have discrete piano hinges and a push door opening. The top drawer is lined with original black vinyl and has the signature Heritage locking system.
Dating from 1960s this is a rare piece of mid century design. These design classics are getting harder to source and are becoming highly collectable. Bought from new in 1967 from Heals, London and with one owner since then.
In good vintage unrestored condition. Signs of previous use as to be expected for a piece of this age but nothing of any significant to note. One of the push doors is a little sticky but probably only due to lack of use and doesn’t affect overall use. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions.
