A beautifully proportioned 1960s Swedish side table by renowned department store and design house NK (Nordiska Kompaniet), from the sought-after “Triva” range.
Featuring a richly grained rosewood veneered top with elegant rounded edges, raised on contrasting ebonised tapering legs, this piece perfectly captures the clean lines and understated sophistication of Scandinavian modern design.
Compact and versatile, it works equally well as a side table, occasional table, lamp table or bedside piece. The warm tones and striking grain make it an ideal addition to both vintage and contemporary interiors.
A rare side table in good condition with minor signs of age and wear (see pictures). Nordiska Kompaniet was known for minimalist Scandinavian lines, rounded corners, and a deep chamfered edge. A silver label on the underside from “NK:s Verkstäder Nyköping”.
In good vintage condition, signs of previous use. Presents beautifully with a lovely orignal sheen to the top. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions.

The “Triva” series was developed by Elias Svedberg and Lena Larsson for Nordiska Kompaniet in the 1940s and consisted of a range of furniture that could be dismantled and shipped in flat packages – a very new concept at the time and later adopted by others company was taken over very successfully.
