These would of been bought from Habitat in the early 1980s – the last photo shows them on a page from a Habitat catalogue of the period.

They are based on the Marcel Breuer Cesca style chair. 2 chairs have black wood arms and frames with weave seats and backs and cantilever chrome bases.

The Chairs are in excellent condition. There are no tears or breaks in the weave on any of the chairs.

The Table is also in very good condition, slight dint on the table top but not noticeable as the laminate is not broken.

The chair frame is chrome-plated round steel tube with a polished finish and seat and back in beech hardwood black finish.

The table is wood effect laminate, with chromed removable legs and a single drop-leaf.

Measurements:

Chair Measurements: W47cm x D60cm x H80cm

Seat height: 46cm, Armrest height:60cm

Table W194cm (Extended) W136cm (Unextended) x D90cm x H73.5cm

Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions / supply more photos if required.

Cesca is a chair created in 1929, when the metal used to create interior was unthinkable. Precursor together with other major designer, Breuer has made this chair by bending a steel tube, because it is a cold material, embellish the chair with the ancient technique of cane seating. The result is amazing. A chair timeless entering discretely in homes or offices, giving character and class.
