Vintage 1960s Uniflex Headboard and Bedside Cabinets by Gunther Hoffstead SOLD
A seemingly rare version from Uniflex International a teak flat bedhead with attached floating bedside cabinets. A stylish vintage look that would enhance any mid century inspired bedroom.
The unique sled leg with a horizontal bar connecting the front and back legs. A single pull drawer to each cabinet. These can strand alone (from the bedhead) and screw directly into the wall, or fit into the teak headboard. This would fit a standard sized double bed.
In excellent vintage condition having been in the same house since new in the 1960s. Minor wear and tear consistent with age and use. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions.

They were at the forefront of the mid century modern style with machined finish and mass marketing and helped bring it to a wider audience after the Festival of Britain. Uniflex from the mid sixties had a distinctive style. Look for the absence of handles they used a cut out of the drawer and they used expensive woods, such as teak or rosewood.
