Retro Vintage G Plan ‘Fresco’ Sideboard Vintage 1960s SOLD
The classic vintage G Plan Fresco sideboard dating from the late 1960s.
G Plan was a modern furniture company that rode on the Scandinavian furniture wave from the 1960s.
The cabinet was made out of exotic timers, mostly Burmese teak, by the renowned E Gomme / G Plan factory and designed by V.B. Wilkins in 1966.
2 Cupboards, hidden hinges. Offering good size cupboards with a lot of storage space, removable internal shelves. 4 central drawers that run smoothly, the top one is felt lined, with cutlery dividers and they are all solid construction with dovetail joints front and back.
Solid sculptural handles, the framed doors and the vertical grain fronts.
This vintage item is unrestored and has no significant defects except for one historic repair (see Picture) but this doesn’t effect the use of the door or the look of the piece. The sideboard but it may show slight / minimal traces of use. It is in overall very good, clean condition. Please see photos – happy to answer any questions.
