Mid Century 1960s Teak ‘Manhatten’ Guy Rogers Day Bed SOLD
Mid century 1960s day bed / sofa bed by Guy Rogers ‘Manhattan’ range. The range was designed in 1962 by George Fejer and Eric Phamphilan. This day bed is stamped 1964.
Solid Afromosia / teak frame, comfortable as well as looking amazing. The back folds flat to make a comfortable small size double bed with brass mechanisms in one smooth step.
Recovered in a mid century ‘style’ spotty fabric which compliments the frame and era perfectly whilst still being very modern. New upholstery (with removable covers), new foam and new webbing.
The Guy Rogers Ltd was based in Speke, Liverpool and the company supplied high-end furniture stores across the UK and London’s Heals throughout the 60’s and 70’s.
In very good, working vintage condition. The upholstery fabric is clean and the teak frame is solid.
