Retro Vintage Long ‘Scandinavian Style’ Teak Sideboard SOLD
This long (L218cm) sideboard is quite simply stunning with its smooth teak veneer and sunken in grab handles very much in the manner of Troeds but has not got any identifying stamps / labels.
The sideboard has a very minimalist symmetrical design and has strong Scandinavian influences. The unit is sat upon nice slender wooden tapered legs. The unit consist of a bank of four graduating central drawers with the top as a lined cutlery drawer. Then double sliding door storage cupboards at either end. The interiors of the cupboards have been lined possibly with either a maple or birch interior with a shelf which is very clean. The sideboard is also finished in a rosewood veneer at the back so can stand freely as a room divider.
A very stylish item of furniture from the mid century and with plenty of storage. This would look fabulous in a mid century modern or contemporary themed home.
In vintage condition, the doors slide well, the drawers run smooth, overall a very sturdy piece which has been lightly cleaned. It does however still show signs of previous use consistent with general wear and tear and age. Would ideally benefit from a full restoration / up cycle. This is a very heavy piece and would need two people to help unload / move into place. Please review the photos- happy to answer any questions.
