A Single Mid Century Vintage ‘Program’ Stool by Frank Guille for Kandya SOLD
A neat ‘Program’ stool designed by Frank Guille for Kandya in 1958.
Iconic design on this simple and functional vintage stool. Perfect size for a tall office desk, kitchen table or breakfast bar.
Simple and functional. Finished in black rolled steel, plywood and an orange vinyl seat pad.
An excellent example of post war, British utilitarian design at its best.
Frank Guille was foremost a furniture designer and later teacher and Head of Furniture Design at the RCA London. Born in 1927, he was taught by Robin Day and John Cole at the Beckenham School of Art. His elegant furniture was visually simple and refined and he took commissions from Heals and Kandya Ltd
In good vintage condition, some wear to the top, but this doesn’t effect comfort, stability or the look of the stool.
