This is a fabulously crafted rare Ercol Model 351 sideboard, was listed in their 1956 catalog and was sold into the mid 1960s. Designed by Lucian Ercolani in the 1950s as part of Ercol’s superior quality Windsor range
The top is solid English elm and the cabinet frame and base is made from beech, it sits on splayed legs and stretcher. Designed to be versatile and usable, this sideboard is purposefully compact and light enough to be easily moved. The gorgeous top is made from beautifully sculpted thick elm with a really neat groove sculpted close to the back for presenting plates when placed against a wall.
Both cupboards have internal shelves and the original sliding brown felt-lined cutlery tray is in the smaller drawer.
The condition is all unrestored original, it has been gently cleaned. There are signs of previous use and age related wear. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions.
