This stylish telephone / side table was manufactured by Vanson in the UK in the 1960s. Vanson was one of the top brands producing furniture for Heal’s.
Vanson were a British based Furniture company led by the Designer Peter Hayward. They had a long established history of producing high quality furniture using a range of different timbers. Some of the furniture today is considered amongst the very best made in Britain during the period.
This is a two tier table dating from the early 1960’s. Its constructed with Walnut table tops and solid Beech legs and its design with the the smooth contours and curved edges, was clearly influenced by Hayward’s Scandinavian influencers of the era.
In good vintage condition. Stands sturdy with no significant signs of damage / wear. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions.
Although telephone tables are no longer required it would still make a lovely hallway table or for books.
