A seemingly rare Scandinavian sideboard in teak, manufactured by Lefèvre Omer Meubelfabriek (O.M.F) – 1960s ‘Keulen’, retailed and distributed through a Dutch brand called Mahjongg Vlaardingen, Holland.

This large sideboard has four wide opening lockable doors either side of four central drawers. We still have the pair of original keys and the locks still work well.

We have not come across many sideboards with this sleek impressive look. The sideboard has been made to a high standard like all other Danish designed pieces. The sideboard has a minimalist look and a statement design that will stand out in anyone’s home.

Mahjongg was a small local but high quality furniture manufacturer in Holland during the 1960s. They made high quality pieces of furniture and were all inspired by the successful Danish designs of the time. They also worked together with well known Danish designers, but mainly they left out the designer names out of their local marketing. These better designers loved to work with Mahjongg because of their small workshop and their aim on quality and detail.
