A stunning teak dining table and 6 chairs designed and made by Portwood of Stockport, Cheshire; they were renowned for their high quality workmanship. The construction although English is strongly influenced by fashionable mid-century Danish design.

A really clever designed set where the chair base echo’s the table base.

The table and chairs are made of solid teak , the tabletop is covered with teak veneer. The seats of the chairs are covered with the original upholstery. This is the original fabric; it remains in excellent clean condition. These chairs are deceptively comfortable. Can also be easily reupholstered if required.

The table seats 4-6 closed and 6 -8 extended.

Condition is good, there are no repairs to any of the chairs  and the upholstery is clean however there are signs of wear to the fabric. The table is also still sturdy in construction with only a minor blemish’s to the wood veneer and as to be expected and the extended part of the table is a darker colour due to sun bleaching of the table when the extension is closed. This set is not new and although in great vintage condition there are some minor wear consistent with overall age.
