Great steamer trunk – these are great for storage or could even be used as a coffee table.
Made by Overpond & dates from the mid 20th Century.
Large trunk made by the famous Overpond company, overall in very good condition with all hinges and clasps working well, has the original lock on the front and key.
A new padlock can easily be passed through the loop if you want to lock it. It has reinforced edges and corners and apart from a couple of minor marks from general wear and tear; rust as displayed on the photos.
It has LINDSEY LOCKE in black letters on the top of the case and was probably used as a demob trunk at some time, all adding to its charm.
The original check lining inside is in good vintage condition apart from a few minor tears.
Locks, hinges and fittings are all in good order and the trunk benefits from being in good overall condition.
