This teak coffee table was designed by Arne Hovmand-Olsen (1919-1989) for the Danish furniture maker Mogens Kold in the 1960s. It has two trays – the upper teak top and the lower magazine shelf, which is strung with paper cord.
It has a nicely shaped teak top with solid upright sides. The long sides are also made of solid teak.
The table is in good vintage condition. With minor signs of wear on the top through use and age. The teak remains unrestored but gently cleaned. The danish cord has been renewed. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions.
Hovmand-Olsen worked steadily designing furniture for companies such as Alf Juul Rasmussen, A. R. Klingenberg & Søn, Bramin, Elven Geertsen, J.L. Møller, Jutex, Mogens Kold Møbelfabrik, P. Mikklesen, Pedersen & Knap, and Skovmand & Andersen.
