ERCOL Blonde Windsor Drop Leaf Table & 4 Matching Quaker Chairs  SOLD

Quite possibly one of the best condition ERCOL Windsor Table and Chair sets I have come across. Classic Quaker chairs model no. 365 and Windsor Dining Kitchen Table model no. 384. Both in matching light blonde colour and gold 1980s label. Both from the 1985 ERCOL catalogue range.

The four Quaker chairs have the classic tall arched bow seatback with 5 spindles and turned legs in beech, the oyster shaped seat is in solid elm which matches the table top. All the joints are firm, strong and without movement, the arched bow seatbacks have no splits or cracks which can be a common manufacturing fault on this design. The chairs will have the odd minor usage mark but overall are in excellent condition, please see the photos for details.

A beautiful, fully cleaned Ercol oval Drop-leaf dining table from the Windsor Collection, manufactured between 1957 – 1989. The table seats six people when fully opened. It is especially useful for smaller rooms, as it seats two comfortably when folded.The drop leaves (flaps) have metal supports with wooden blocks at the end pull out from beneath the middle of the top to hold the leaves in an upright position when their use is required. Full length ‘piano’ hinges are fitted to the underside of the leaves these are clean and free of rust, the subtly tapered solid beech angled tapering legs are classically elegant in form. The table top displays a striking grain pattern.
