A rather unusually long sideboard by Ib Kofod Larsen made by Seffle of Sweden, circa 1970. This particular model that isn’t found that often as most people bought the smaller version which was also available in rosewood.
The design is brutalist sleek with great door detailing, wood grain and recessed handles. The hinges on the doors and the internal shelves indicate a late 1960s/early 70s design.
In good vintage condition with no obvious deep scratches or marks. There are still signs of pervious use consistent with age but nothing significant to note. Please review the questions – happy to answer any questions.
Ib Kofod Larsen was an extremely successful Danish designer who unusually designed for companies outside Denmark at a time when Danish designers would usually only design for Danish makers. His designs for G Plan in the UK as well as for Seffle of Sweden and an American company are all sought after today as are his pieces for Faarup of Denmark.
