Joannes Andersen HB20 Sideboard Mid Century 1960s Danish Vintage SOLD
A classic example of one of Denmark’s best known Mid Century designers Johannes Andersen in 1968, and made by quality manufacturer Hans Bech, its known as model HB20.
It is very heavy, and the build quality is fantastic, with beautiful detailing as you would expect. The back is veneered in teak, which is a feature that’s only found on the best Mid Century pieces, so can also double as a room divider.
Highly functional design. With a central bank of 4 drawers (bottom one green felt lined) and with hidden further 3 adjustable drawers) within a side cupboard. Both side cupboards have removable internal shelving.
Condition is very good for an unrestored piece. Minimal marks and scuffs from general age, wear and tear. All the drawers, doors and frame are solid and sound. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions / send more photos if required.
