Classic Italian dining table designed by Umberto Mascagni in the 1950’s for Harrods, London.
Covered in padded cream colour vinyl with faint grey marble veining. Gold coloured aluminium trim.
Black faux “lizard skin” on tapered legs with vertical inlaid aluminium stripe, the legs can be removed for ease of transport.
In good vintage condition. Some minor scuffs on the legs through general wear and tear. Adjustable feet. There are some scratches to the table top and glass protector. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions.
Early 1950s sideboard created by Umberto Mascagni of Bologna, Italy, imported to the UK by I. Barget and retailed through Harrod’s, London, 1952-1955. Mascagni was known for his provocative use of new materials in furniture designs such as skai (PVC) and aluminium.
