This rare dressing cabinet is beautifully made with joinery detail as to expected by Fyne Ladye Furniture, and by British designer Richard Hornby. This early 1960s Hornby dressing cabinet is one of his most attractive designs with a beautiful linear symmetry, well balanced proportion and elegance. It’s a truly deceptive piece with by-fold doors revealing a set of internal drawers and ‘cubby’ holes.
The recessed handles were a typical feature of Richard Hornby’s designs and set on finely squared legs. Decorated both on the back as well as the front this is truly a stand out piece of Hornby designed furniture.
In good unrestored original condition with only a few very minor and superficial marks / nibbles commensurate with age and use. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions.
