Mid Century 1960s Richard Hornby for Fyne Ladye Small Sideboard SOLD
This sideboard is beautifully made with joinery detail as to expected by Fyne Ladye Furniture, and by British designer Richard Hornby. This early 1960s Hornby sideboard is one of his most attractive designs with a beautiful linear symmetry, well balanced proportion and elegance.
The recessed handle and the reeded drawers were a typical feature of Richard Hornby’s designs and set on finely tapered legs. The four drawers sit in-between two doors, which open to reveal adjustable shelves. The top drawer is also black felt-lined for cutlery.
This sideboard is made entirely from solid African afromosia (teak) except for the door fronts.
In good unrestored original condition with only a few very minor and superficial marks / nibbles commensurate with age and use. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions.
