This fabulous and seeming rare completely rosewood sideboard was designed by Robert Heritage who was one of the top British furniture designers of the mid-20th century and manufactured by Archie Shine.
This mid century Honduran Rosewood ‘Hamilton’ sideboard was manufactured in the late 1950s, the elegant Danish style design has a long rectangular top over four reeded drawers and two cupboards with removable shelves, the piece is raised on four narrow tapered legs.
This beautiful long rosewood ‘Hamilton’ range sideboard, an award winning design for Archie Shine in 1958 features reeded drawers, rosewood book-matched veneered doors and turned wooden trumpet pulls. A real standout piece of mid century furniture that would seamlessly fit into any modern of vintage inspired interior, this stunning piece with ample storage is sure to become the focal point of any room.
In fantastic vintage condition, it has been stripped from its many old layers of varnish and lacquer then fully re-finished. We have carefully cleaned and re-polished this sideboard to preserve its natural original appearance. That being said, there are still some minor age related marks and wear but nothing that detracts from the overall look and functionality of the piece.
