A superb understated teak sideboard made by Bath Cabinet Makers, circa 1960s.
Bath Cabinet Makers were a British, old established quality maker who in the late 1950s and early 1960s made some quirky large sideboards.
A combination of drop down doors, 4 drawers and side hinged doors with no handles creates a very sleek looking design. Originally the legs were hinged to give a varied height but these have now been fused together for a more structurally sturdy piece.
It retains its Bath Cabinet Makers silver sticky label which some don’t, and is illustrated in the 1968 catalogue.
Great original vintage condition with some signs of minimal wear. We’ve given it a gentle clean, no obvious marks or bad scratches, but you must expect to see some signs of wear on the top. Historic signs of wood worm but not active. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions.
