A very elegant and simplistic teak ‘Malta’ round dining table by Swedish designer Nils Jonsson for Troeds Bjärnum, 1960’s. The table seats four people and easily eight when extended with two hinged leaves stored inside.
The table is in good vintage unrestored condition having just been been given a very simplistic clean. The two leaves have also not been touched and show a slight discolouration from the main table top. We wanted to retain as much of the patina and original finish which adds to the character of the piece. Some marks are slightly visible on the top but this is to be expected for its age and use.
Nils Jonsson for Troeds vintage “Malta” teak dining table with two small leaves that transform it from a compact round to a versitile oval. Without leaves this elegant mid century table seats four, and the 2 ‘hidden’ leaves cleverly fold in half to store underneath the table top. This table is simply exquisite from its design to craftsmanship. It has lovely grain, solid wood extension rails, and legs that taper from rounded squares at the tops to round at the bottoms. Stamped on bottom Troeds, Malta, Nils Jonsson, made in Sweden.
In very good vintage condition. Minor marks as to be expected with age and general use. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions.
