A really beautiful example of mid-century style and craftsmanship, this Everest sideboard is in excellent condition and a real quality piece.
The cabinet floats within an outer contrasting wood framework.
Its centre opening cupboard provides generous storage for dinner services, cutlery etc.
The design is way ahead of its time with a striking geometric pattern to the front of the cupboard doors which is inlaid into the walnut veneer.
The inside of the cabinet is beautifully finished in Maple and is fitted with a single shelf and two cutlery drawers. The drawers have solid maple fronts and are dovetail constructed with hardwood linings, the bottoms are baize lined and the right hand drawer is fitted with removable partitions. The whole cabinet is supported on elegant tapered legs and brackets in solid teak.
