A stunning original vintage Ernest Race Rocking Chair manufactured c1940’s. This mid-century vintage Ernest Race rocking chair is a unique piece of furniture that would make a great addition to any room. Crafted from steel and upholstered in orange velvet, this original, postmodern design is both stylish and comfortable.
With a year of manufacture of 1948, this antique rocking chair has stood the test of time and is still in excellent condition. The chair is fully assembled and ready to use without any additional parts required. Perfect for indoor use, this chair would be a great addition to any collection for any vintage enthusiast.
The chair has the original metal frame with the original white enamelled finish. The chair has its original teak arm rests. The original orange padded seat and back rest cushion has been fully re-upholstered but using a vintage orange fabric but new padding, webbing and hessian backing. We still have some of the original fabric if wanted.
In good vintage condition. Whilst the metal frame is sturdy, the enamel is coming away as to be expected due to age. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions.
