Daniel Davidson is a contemporary abstract painter based in the North West of England. Influenced by 1950’s abstract expressionism, and artists such as Pierre Soulages, Franz Kline and Robert Motherwell, Daniel uses gestural marks and blocked, dark shapes in this series of paintings entitled – ‘Minor Chords’. Leaving sections of the linen exposed, and allowing paint to run freely in places, the work leaves an impression of a sonic imprint, the remnants of a ‘Minor Chord’.
This work is heavy body golden acrylics on 350gm pure linen with colourless primer. Ready to hang or can be framed.
Daniel has a studio-based practice in Blackburn, Lancashire where his work explores synaesthesia, multi-dimensional experiences and time-loops.
Daniel’s recent exhibitions include:
Hamptons Art Fair-New York – Group Show
Norton and Sons-Savile Row-London – Solo Show
Hive Space-UCEN, Manchester – Dual show
Prism Contemporary ‘Seven Pink Paintings’ – Solo Show
