Pair of Classic 1970s ERCOL Windsor Fireside Rocking Chairs SOLD
A stunning pair of original vintage circa 1970’s Ercol rocking chairs (Quaker 428 and Goldsmith 435), in dark stain finish and blue labels.
Made from solid beech wood to the frame with a solid elm seat. Same design as other Ercol Windsor ranges for the dining chair but with a rocking base. ‘..Rocker skids specially designed to prevent tipping over backwards.’ Ercol 1970 catalogue.
Very stylish and comfy chairs with the original matching seat cushion on both chairs.
In good vintage condition the chairs are solid, sturdy and ‘rock’ well! Wear through use and age is obviously apparent, especially on the Goldsmith arm rests. Easily re-stained or simply left as it is. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions.
