Pair of Classic Mid Century Ercol Windsor Easy Chairs 219 SOLD
A gorgeous pair of mid century Ercol Windsor Easy chairs model 219. This particular model was made in 1953 (Ercol switched from springs to webbing in 1955) and didn’t feature in catalogues after 1957. Blue label is still visible on both chairs.
The current upholstery is a replacement probably circa 1970s – the original 1950s upholstery is still present underneath. Both are in excellent condition considering their age but they don’t really match into todays interior colour schemes! I will eventually be getting these done – however currently listed for sale for someone else to take on the challenge!
The original cushion is in good condition and the metal springs are still very good.
The frame is also very solid with no movement and no signs of wood worm.
