This is an another magnificent sideboard by Robert Heritage for Archie Shine.  This particular sideboard being made of teak and afromosia.

The catalogue states, ‘This sideboard has the following unusual features : Six doors set within neatly detailed channels which divides the sideboard into three sections; one of which has drawers with felt lined trays suitable for crockery and cutlery. The doors pivot handsomely on concealed movements. The distinctive handles are flush with the sideboard front and parallel with the top’.

Arguably one of Robert Heritage’s best designs of the period, like so many Archie Shine pieces its not labelled but its a known design.  Archie Shine pieces were very rarely labelled as they were mainly sold through exclusive high end retailers like Harrods of London and Heals who didn’t like to sell pieces that were labelled by their manufacturers.

In good unrestored vintage condition. We have given this sideboard a light clean but it retains its original finish and natural patina. There are as to be expected signs of previous  use but nothing that detracts from the overall appearance of the sideboard. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions.
