Vintage 1950s LEBUS ‘LINK’ Chest of Drawers  SOLD

This is a very stylish and seemingly rare vintage Limed Oak effect chest of three drawers by British Manufacturers Lebus from their Link range.

Black metal Atomic designed / splayed legs with wooded insert detail. Dating from the late 1950s.

In good vintage condition. There are small areas of wear and tear to the finish – please see photos.

The three drawers work well with the black metal tipped roll barrel handles.

British designers had taken the lead in furniture design for the UK market in the 50s. By the end of the 50s Scandinavian design was starting to gain a strong following. Teak became the most fashionable wood and the long low look favoured by Danish designers became the most popular look for people’s homes in the 60s.
