Vintage Art Deco 1930s Oak Hypnos Beds Cabinet SOLD
A stunning Art Deco Cabinet dating from around the 1930’s (or earlier) made by renowned British maker Hypnos, now more famous for their luxury beds and mattresses, than their furniture.
This cabinet was probably designed for holding bed linen but could now be used in a number of different ways to suit the modern and vintage inspired home. Featuring the original handles and a lovely shaped deco base. It features a practical double door cupboard space and one deep drawer above store clothes, linen or crockery.
In good clean, unrestored vintage condition, stands solid and the drawer opens smoothly.
According to their website Hypnos has been practising and perfecting the art of making luxury pocket spring mattresses and beds and bedroom furniture by hand since Edwardian days.
In excellent vintage condition, no signs of wood worm or splits to the wood. The drawer works well and the cabinet doors open and close as they should.
