A vintage Ercol solid English elm extending model 444 dining table. This versatile piece can seat ten to twelve when extended and six when closed.
Produced by Ercol during the 1960s. This sought-after model of table is very difficult to find. The table has a twin, hinged extra leaf that stores underneath its top and, unusually, has an extra fifth leg to support its length once extended. The middle leaves at ‘locked’ tight with two keys (see pics).
This table was originally stained a darker brown (by Ercol) but we have exposed the golden elm top and beech legs. Some of the darker colour may still show through on closer inspection. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions.
Part of the Windsor range originally designed by Lucian Ercolani and manufactured in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. Ercol furniture is synonymous with good design, quality materials, craftsmanship and is built for longevity. This is a real eye-catching piece of furniture that is still in production today.
