A scarcely seen mid century sideboard designed by Richard Hornby, manufactured by Fyne Ladye Furniture and originally retailed through Heals, 1960s.
As usual, to be expected from Hornby, superb craftsmanship throughout, carved from solid from Afrormosia with beautiful cut away handle detail, reeded drawer fronts and the signature Hornby bevelled edge to the top. The drawer fronts are super thick and reeded, a design feature of Hornby sideboards. The shelves are removable if you need to store larger items.
It features two large cupboards with solid Afrormosia two adjustable shelves with four good sized, graduating drawers to the right hand side. The top drawer still retains the original black felted cutlery dividers. The ‘hidden’ tray which has a cream / black formica lining and can be removed completely from the sideboard.
