1960s vintage walnut sideboard designed by Jens Risom (1916-2016) and made by A Younger Ltd.

Labelled within the top drawer, oval steel backed handles with cow horn black steel. Solidly made and a great design. 

The richly grained walnut case comprises of two cabinets with adjustable internal shelves, alongside a bank of four drawers. The walnut case is finished on the back as nice as the front, to be able to stand alone in a room. With adjustable oversized aluminium feet.

In very nice original condition, with some minor wear to the top. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions.

Jens Risom was a Danish American furniture designer and one of the first designers to introduce Scandinavian design in the United States. Risom studied under Ole Wanscher & Kaare Klint at the Copenhagan School of Arts & Industrial Design. He was classmates with Borge Mogensen and Hans Wegner.
