Vintage Papworth Air Ministry Mid Century Oak Chest of Drawers / Bureau / Desk SOLD
A fantastically designed and crafted chest of drawers / bureau / desk manufactured by the Air Ministry circa 1950s.
Oak faced drawers, top and sides with solid oak handles, three good sized drawers. The top drawer can be opened and flipped down to act as a writing bureau / desk.
A decent usable size of 5 drawers – two at the top and three sitting underneath. Stamped on its rear with AM – the Air Ministry emblem. This oak chest would be great in a bedroom but would not look out of place in a living room or hallway.
A very interesting and functional piece, in great unrestored condition. There are some minor marks as to be expected due to general wear and use. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions.
