A scarcely seen model by White & Newton of Portsmouth featuring contrasting teak & afromosia timbers, elegantly carved handles, three good sized drawers with cutlery drawer, two large cupboards with fixed internal shelves and solid afromosia legs.
This sideboard comes in a contrasting two-tone by the use of teak and afromosia. White and Newton were on the cutting edge of furniture design and production in Britain throughout the mid 20th century.
The teak has a lovely vintage golden patina that only age can achieve.
A very desirable piece, in very good vintage unrestored condition.
