This antique wall mountable ships mileage log, circa 1920s, is a remarkable piece of nautical history. The elegant design of the log is a testament to the ingenuity of the makers and showcases their exceptional craftsmanship.

The unique piece is a must-have for collectors and enthusiasts of marine/maritime antiques. The log would make a striking addition to any nautical-themed decor, adding a touch of history and sophistication. The brass construction of the log has stood the test of time, and the item is in excellent condition, with no signs of wear and tear.

A fine example of Walker’s patented ship’s logs. Displays a desirable aged patina. Original glass porthole in good order.

Twist-off locking nuts hold the bezel tightly against the frame. This aids access to the enamel dial for self-adjustment. Subsidiary dials add further visual interest.

Pleasingly heavy at 3.88kg (8.55 lb)

Maker’s mark to dial for Thomas Walker & Son of Birmingham. Dials log nautical miles in single, double and triple units.

Slender needles can be operated manually, working anti-clockwise.
