Beautiful Vintage Burr Walnut Chest of Drawers Art Deco 1920s-1950s SOLD
A wonderful art deco style burr walnut chest of drawers (previous life would of had it as a stunning bedroom dressing chest).
Having a lovely figured walnut top, the moulded edge has squared classic art deco style to its plinths. Three drawers over two large drawers all with moulded veneered walnut handles. Hand cut dovetails and fully lined shelves. Four castors that allow the chest to be easily moved within the room.
I think this piece would look fantastic back in a deco inspired bedroom but also would not look out of place within a deco inspired / vintage living room / dining room.
In excellent vintage condition – the drawers all run well, castors move smoothly and no splits to the wood / signs of wood worm. A few minor chips along one edge due to general wear and tear consistent with 70 + years of age – but barely noticeable. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions.
