Mid Century Vintage Bureau / Writing Desk by Greaves & Thomas SOLD
A seemingly rare classic mid century bureau / writing desk by British manufacturers Greaves & Thomas of London. Teak (afromosia) hardwoods and teak veneers have been used to create this stunning piece of furniture.
Superb quality and construction. Sturdy and the wood is in great condition. The bureau front is lockable with the original key. The sliding doors at the bottom of the cupboard work well.
This bureau / writing desk is an excellent example of early British mid century inspired design.
In vintage unrestored condition. A few bits of veneer missing at the hinge, a small ring mark on the top on the writing desk. Minor marks and ink / pen stains consistent with general age and use as to be expected with a piece of this age. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions.
