This is a superb unrestored 1960s teak and afromosia writing desk / bureau designed by Richard Hornby for Heals comes to you in great vintage condition.

The sloped front housing a fitted interior over three long reeded drawers, to a curved tapering supports. The lockable front drop-down menu (original key still present) contains several drawers and compartments.

A fabulous afromosia teak grain as to be expected.

This type of bureau / desk is getting highly sought after. Heals commissioned Richard Hornby, a well known British designer of his era to create a range with timeless sense of design.

This bureau / writing desk is in great vintage condition, with normal signs of age and use. There is no evidence of loose joints / splits to the wood / no signs of wood worm. Please see photos – happy to answer any questions.

Cleaned and ready to go straight into your home.

This bureau would be the perfect finishing touch to the retro / mid century inspired living area but would equally work well in the modern interior due to its timeless design.
