Terms and Conditions
By accessing this website and/or placing an order via social media, email or phone, you agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions. Using this website indicates that you accept these terms and conditions, if you do not accept these terms and conditions, please do not use this website.
Please read these terms and conditions carefully before making a purchase and please feel free to get in touch with me if there is anything that you are unsure about.
None of these Terms and Conditions affect your statutory rights.
Product Specification
All of the items I sell are vintage and will be clearly described as vintage.
Whilst I spend a lot of time sympathetically restoring each item, some natural wear and tear should still be expected – I believe this adds to the general appeal of each item as it makes it truly unique.
I endeavour to provide very clear and detailed photographs of each product, however, if you would like further clarification on the condition of an item please contact me before making a purchase. I am very happy to answer any questions/queries and would much rather customers make an informed decision before committing to buy.
Due to limitations and colour variations between monitors there may be slight colour variations to those displayed.
2. Measurements
For all items I provide approximate measurements – if space is tight, or you need exact measurements, please contact me and I will try and provide more detailed information.
I cannot be held responsible if an item of furniture cannot gain access to, or does not fit in its intended space. Therefore, I strongly recommend that you measure all access areas prior to making a purchase.
Please note: Items cannot be returned because they are the wrong size or do not fit – please see my Returns Policy further down the page for more information.
3. Prices
All prices shown on the website are in pounds sterling (£), include VAT, but do not include delivery (unless otherwise stated).
4. Payments
Pavement Vintage can only take payment in any of the following ways:
The website does not accept payments at present. I can take payments via PayPal, however, if you don’t have a PayPal account, don’t worry, you can still use all major credit cards through the PayPal payment platform – this works just like other online payment systems.
5. Delivery
Smaller/post-able items – Royal Mail/Parcelforce
For smaller items that can be packaged and postage without too much risk of damage, I use Royal Mail or Parcelforce. There are various prices for packages, based on both weight and size. Please enquire either by email or give me a ring. I aim to post all items within 2 working days of payment clearing – all items are insured and require a signature on delivery. If an item arrives damaged, please let me know within 48 hours.
Large/furniture items – specialist courier delivery.
I use a network of trusted couriers to deliver our products throughout the mainland UK. I also work with a dedicated courier who can deliver to Cardiff (FREE), South Wales area, Bristol, Bath, and the surrounding area most weeks. A flat rate of £50 is applied for all deliveries – however if you are located in other parts of the U.K. Mainland, then there may be a extra surcharge – this is to take into account the extra mileage/time required to deliver to these areas.
Please contact me prior to ordering if you would like a quotation.
Once you have purchased an item I will pass your address and contact telephone number onto the courier and they will contact you directly with a delivery date and time slot (the courier will not share or disclose this
information to any third party). I will also send you all the courier info and contact details so that you have them to hand.
Please note:
It is the responsibility of each customer to ensure that the item ordered will fit through all access points and into the space intended. Items cannot be returned because they do not fit.
International delivery
I do NOT currently provide international delivery. If you require International Delivery I will certainly work with your and your chosen Courier with the Shipping and I will package up the item as much as is practicably possible to ensure safe passage.
6. Wood products – Care & Advice
All wood products need to be treated with care – wood is a natural, living and breathing material. You should avoid placing wood furniture in direct sunlight as this will help maintain colour and avoid fading of the wood/dyes. Please also avoid placing furniture near heat sources such as wood burners, fires, radiators, or directly on underfloor heating, as this can have an adverse affect on the wood.
Please Note:
Reclaimed wood/boards are a natural wood product and due to the nature of this some movement is to be expected as they adapt to a new environment i.e. heating/air conditioning and atmospheric changes. As a result we cannot be held responsible for timber movement.
7. Returns and Refunds
Vintage items
For vintage items we can ONLY offer a refund if your item is not as described or (in the unlikely event) damaged upon delivery. To process a refund we must be notified within 24 hours of delivery, we will then liaise with you directly to arrange the return and refund of the item.
Please note:
– It is the responsibility of each customer to ensure that the item ordered will fit through all access points and into the space intended. Sorry, but items cannot be returned because they do not fit.
