Vintage 1950s Loughborough Console Table / Desk for Heals SOLD
A stunning teak console table / desk manufactured by high quality furniture manufacturer Loughborough and made for Heals London, circa late 1950s.
Three drawers with brass handle pulls. Drawers are dovetailed, solid and run as exactly as they should. Expert craftsmanship throughout as one would expect from this iconic British maker. Original ebonised detailing to the drawers.
This piece was originally a dressing table with a three part mirror but unfortunately this had to be removed. Due to the fact that the mirror was set into the table top, the top has been back filled with the original pieces of wood and then sealed and smoothed to make good. We don’t feel that this impacts on the way that the piece is used or viewed. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions.
