Vintage Mid Century 1960s Teak Sideboard by British Maker Castle SOLD
A mid century 1960s sideboard in teak by the little known British company Castle. Typically Danish influenced small sculpted pull handles on three drawers (top drawer felt lined with original dividers), flanked by one drop down ‘drinks’ cupboard on the left and a double door cupboard on the right with remove-able / adjustable internal shelves. Elegant tapering legs and a very distinctive original black inserted strip framing the sideboard top. A real high quality build with the dovetail joints and hinge mechanism on the cupboard doors.
This piece has been gently cleaned and freshened up. Repairs have been previously done to the draw runners but all work / run well. Minor wear and tear through general age and previous use. Historic water marks visible on the top of the sideboard. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions.
