A beautiful and seemingly rare vintage writing desk by Richard Hornby for Fyne Ladye Furniture of Bath, designed c. 1959.

Small but highly functional desktop covered in textured black faux leather. A generously sized drawer beneath and a handy cabinet space above with finger drawers. The lower drawer features Hornby’s signature reeded drawer-fronts. Accents are also created with the tapered legs and raised ridges on the top of the desk.
In good original vintage condition, the joints are sturdy and solid. The front covering off the dropdown cupboard has been replaced with a black formica / melamine sheet as previous damage had been done to the front which we were unable to restore as original. We don’t believe this detracts from the overall look of the piece. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions.
